Eurolanche in its 14th season
A look at the Fan Club’s plans for the upcoming season. The Colorado Avalanche’s season will kick off in a few days and hockey fans all around the world are already full of anticipation. On this occasion, Eurolanche, the World's Biggest Avs Fan Club Founded in Europe Since 2007, takes a look at its future plans.
Not unlike almost everything in our daily lives, the coronavirus pandemic has had a negative impact on the Fan Club as well. While the recent NHL seasons saw at least one or more member meetings during the course of the regular season, we’re almost a year removed from Eurolanche’s last event. Staying healthy in these troubling times comes above all, which is why meetings like these simply had to be postponed.
Any future plans will depend on the developments of the current situation regarding the pandemic in both Europe and the US. Eurolanche is closely monitoring the situation and as soon as the situation will permit it, the Fan Club is hoping to organize a member meeting in Europe, while abiding to all preventative measures.
In regard to the next Eurolanche Invasion, the situation gets more complicated, as an oversea trip would have to automatically include a plethora of different preventative measures, travel regulations and/or restrictions and other safety measures for its participants. Should the State of Colorado permit at least a limited number of attendees in the Ball Arena this season, Eurolanche would consider organizing another trip for its members. Until then, any potential plans would be mere speculation.
Eurolanche’s activities for the 2020/21 season will include the Eurolanche League betting competition, which will enter its 11th season and provide the three best contestants with awesome prizes in form of Avalanche souvenirs. The season will also include various competitions or giveaways of souvenirs and player autographs.
The Fan Club will cover the Avs via its social media accounts on Facebook (CZ/SK), Twitter and Instagram. Fan Club news will also be published at Eurolanche.com. The possible continuation of the video series from last season will also be announced to the public via the aforementioned channels.
Moreover, Eurolanche is preparing a special project for all Colorado Avalanche fans living outside North America, whether they are registered Fan Club members or not. More details will be announced at a later date.
A look back at last season
