Former Avalanche great Peter Forsberg and fellow Swede Mats Sundin have been named to the International Ice Hockey Federation's Hall of Fame class for 2013.
The former Olympic and world champions will be inducted in Stockholm in May when their home country hosts the world championships. Canadians Paul Henderson and Danielle Goyette, as well as three-time Olympic medalist Teppo Numminen of Finland, also will be inducted.
In addition to winning two Stanley Cups with the Avalanche, Forsberg won four gold medals with Sweden, with titles at the 1992 and 1998 world championships and the 1994 and 2006 Winter Olympics.
