Varlamov did not play again; not injured

Semyon Varlamov has not appeared in three straight games of the KHL for his „lockout team“ Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. It is absolutely strange. Just let´s check his stats of the regular season: 12 games, 9 wins and 3 shutouts. Lokomotiv won 9 games in a row, mainly thanks to Varlamov. Do you know Lokomotiv´s record of the last three games without Varlamov even on the roster? Three losses.

Varlamov told in the exclusive interview to Eurolanche that he is not injured, but also he would probably play in the following game – on Wednesday. Now, we know it was not true. Additionally, he was smiling when he answered he cannot tell me why he missed couple of games. It does not look serious. From one point. From another, it does. It could be a sign of very positive development in the CBA talks. Varlamov maybe knows more than fans and the media. He believes that NHL will start in December. He does not want to risk to get injured, so he takes relax. We all hope so.
