Marek Svatos practices in Denver

Marek Svatos practices in DenverFormer Avalanche player is ready for his comeback to the professional hockey.

Marek Svatos is 30 year old Slovak winger that was a huge prospect in the NHL. He scored 32 goals in his first NHL season in only 61 games. But it happened in the season 05/06. After that, many injuries had happened to him.

His fans were optimistic again when he came back to the NHL in 2011, playing for Nashville. He played in 9 games and scoring only once. Then he was traded to Ottawa, where he added 3 goals in 19 games. Unfortunately, he ended the season with another injury and there were speculations about the end of his career.

At the end of August 2012,  EXCLUSIVELY FOR EUROLANCHE Ian Laperriere told us that Marek did not play in 11/12 due the health issues caused by his knees. And probably there were family reasons too.

New reason to be optimistic about Svatos´ career was the news published in October by the Slovak website hokejportal.net quoted Svatos´a agent Vladimír Vujtek jr. ,,He had health issues during whole season 11/12 with his knees and that is the reason why he skipped previous year. It was attached to him since he was playing in Omsk. Hurt knee did not allow him to appear in any game. According to fresh results he should be okay now,” said Vujtek for hokejportal.net

He continues: ,,We will see soon how it is going on with him. It is true that we did not talk each other for a long time but according the interview three months ago I know his knee is fit and he would like to play in this season. What I know, he is in America now and awaiting any offer. Of course, everything is question about his health. If he is healthy, he will find a team for sure.”

The family lives in Denver, Marek practices there and enjoys a life with his family as you can see at the attached pictures. Eurolanche had to blur the face of Svatos´ son as he is not adult person.
