Duchene helped Canada to the finals

Matt Duchene become the best player of the game for Team Canada at the oldest hockey tournament in the world - Spengler Cup. Duchene scored two goals and added one assist in the game against the German team of Fribourg in the semifinal game. Team Canada advances to the finals after win 5:1.
Canada will play with the winner of the second semifinal game between Czech´s Vitkovice and Swiss´ HC Davos. The final game is scheduled on Monday. Duchene played in three games at the tournament and earned four points for two goals and two assists.

Magnitogorsk of the KHL has won the second straight game by the big difference
again. Now, they beat Amur Khabarovsk
7:0. In spite of seven goals, Ryan
O´Reilly was held off the score sheet. At the other side, his teammate Evgeni Malkin scored one goal and had
four assists.
Overall, O´Reilly played six games in the KHL, scored
four goals and added two assists.
Semyon
Varlamov was on the bench again for the second time in a row. Fortunately,
his Lokomotiv Yaroslavl finally won
a game after three-game losing streak, when they beat Yugra 6:4. Varlamov starts in 14 games totally, earned 95 save
percentage, 1.66 GAA and three shutouts.
Paul
Stastny is still back in the USA and did not play on Sunday for his German team
of EHC Red Bull Munich. At the time
of deadline this story, Munich was tying with Grizzly Adam Wolfsburg 1:1. Former Avalanche player, Justin Mercier, tied a game for
Wolfsburg. If the lockout continues, Stastny will re-join Munich on 4th
January.
