Avs are 6-0 with win over Dallas

The Avs take their unbeaten streak home versus the Dallas Stars. The Avs look to go 6-0 on the season. Dallas scores early in the first to make it 1-0. Matt Duchene scores his 4th of the season to tie the game at 1-1. At the end of the period the Avs score to make it 2-1 going into the second. Jan Hejda gets his first of the season. Nathan MacKinnon and P.A. Parenteau get the assists. The first ends with the Avs up 2-1. Avs lead in shots 10-6 after one.
Midway into the second the Stars tie it up a PP goal. This is the first PP goal the Avs have given up this season. Duchene scores his second of the night to give the Avs the 3-2 lead. Parenteau and Johnson assists on the goal. The Avs only had 5 shots in the second. The Stars had 18 shots on the Avs. This was helped by the Avs taking 3 penalties in the second.
The Avs take an early penalty in the third but kill it off. The Stars with a lot of chances in the third. Varly makes some huge saves to keep the Avs in the lead. No score in the third period the Avs go 6-0-0 with a win over Dallas. Varly was once again amazing making a save in the last second on the Stars. Varly made 39 saves to continue his great start to the season.
Some quick notes. First game the Avs give up more then one goal. Also first game Avs give up a PP goal. The Line of PAP MacK and McGinn look very good all the time. Guenin had another solid night locking his spot up more. Barrie was scratched again and could possible be heading back to Lake Erie if he can’t crack the line up soon. Duchene had another highlight level goal.
