Varlamov arrested on domestic violence

As Denver Post informed, Semyon Varlamov turned himself in to police station in Denver on the evening yesterday. Varlamov is suspicious of domestic violence and kidnapping that is punishable by to two to six years in prison. He stays in prison overnight and will be confronted with a judge at 10 a.m. local time on Thursday. He is in cell alone due his celebrity status.

There hasn´t been much information yet and nobody knows what happened and what is going happen. Varlamov´s father denied his son was involed in a crime and that media fanned the situation.

The Colorado Avalanche statement follows: "The Colorado Avalanche organization is aware of the allegations concerning Semyon Varlamov. At this time, and until the conclusion of this investigation, the Avalanche organization will have no further comment on this situation."

Reporters met with Varlamov after Wednesday´s practice and there were no indications that some kind of crime happened. Avs will face Dallas Stars at their ice on Friday. Varlamov´s start is pretty questionable in this situation. We will keep you informed.
