Invasion VIII: Interview with Jan

Eurolanche Invasion VIII will be a unique trip in many ways. The overall number of participants speaks for itself. A highlight of the Fan Club’s eighth trip to Colorado will be visits to two outdoor games – Stadium Series game between Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings and Alumni Game between veterans and All-Star players of both teams. In total, 12 members will visit seven Avalanche games. Besides unforgettable meetings with the players and other people around the Avs hockey, the schedule will include many trips and activities in Colorado and also out of the State, like for example a trip to Las Vegas.
Do not miss:
Jan Nemcik, 26, comes from city of Havirov, Czech Republic, and this will be his first time at the Eurolanche Invasion project. He works as a sales representative.
When did you become the Avalanche fan?
I have been a fan of this team since 1999/00 season, when I got the game NHL 2000 as a birthday present. I had no internet, I had no favorite team and I knew NHL only thanks the collecting cards. I was choosing my favorite team at that game and it was the Avs at the final, because I liked its name and a logo. I have started to support the team and follow its results.
What is your greatest memory on the Avs hockey?
The Stanley Cup 2001 of course in spite of I couldn’t watch a game on TV, because there were no broadcasting, so I was just checking results on a teletext every morning. I remember also on a year 2003, when Foppa received Art Ross and Milan Hejduk won Richard Trophy.
How long have you been in the Eurolanche Fan Club and what do you think about this organization?
Four years. I think it is amazing how they have united European fans of the Avs.
Why did you decide to join the Eurolanche Invasion VIII?
Because I want to watch the Avs game in person. And also because I have never been in USA before. This is a great opportunity to go there with somebody who is an experienced traveler.
What do you expect from the Eurolanche Invasion VIII? What are you looking forward most on?
On a life-time experience. I hope it will be worth and I will enjoy every minute. I am looking forward most on the Stadium Series Game and Jaromir Jagr (hopefully he will play for Florida).
