2016 IIHF Worlds Summary: Day 10

The tenth day of the World Championship in Russia were about shocking results. In total, three Colorado Avalanche players were in the action: JT Compher, Reto Berra and for the first time ever Mikko Rantanen.
Denmark - Czech Republic 2:1 SO (0:0, 0:1, 1:0, 0:0)
44. Madsen, the deciding shootout Ehlers – 25. Plekanec
Germany – USA 3:2 (2:1, 0:1, 1:0)
3. Hager, 14. Ehroff, 60. Holzer – 11. McCabe, 21. Matthews
JT Compher was one of few US players who did finish the game with positive points in the +/- stat. He gained one assist. USA lost the game in the final minute of the third period.
Slovakia - Finland 0:5 (0:0, 0:2, 0:3)
32. Mikko Koivu, 32. Pihlström, 47. Barkov, 60. Jussi Jokinen, 60. Laine
Rantanen spent only 10 minutes on the ice, but we could see him everywhere. He tried to pass the puck to his teammates everytime he was there. Despite his great effort, he did not collect a point.
Switzerland - Sweden 2:3 SO (1:0, 0:1, 1:1, 0:0)
19. Andrighetto, 45. Hollenstein – 32. Sundström, 51. Nyquist, the deciding goal Burakovsky
Reto Berra played his best game of the tournament so far, when he almost contributed on a shocking win over the strong Team Sweden.
