Landy could play anywhere except Sweden

Gabriel
Landeskog has left Sweden
after his two-month contract expired with the Djurgarden of the 2-tier league. Landeskog´s agent confirmed to
Eurolanche the reason of his client´s come back to the USA: the Swedish taxes.
Landeskog spent many days in Sweden this year including his participation at
the World Championship in May. More days spend in Sweden, higher taxes he would
have to pay.
Landeskog is back in Denver now, where he bought his
first house before his departure to Europe. According
to this hockey blog, Landeskog is going to practice with his former junior
team of the OHL, Kitchener Rangers. It
is uncertain if he will continue playing somewhere else in the world during the
lockout. His agent told to Eurolanche that Gabriel has to stay out of Sweden
due high taxes. He has not denied the
option of playing somewhere else.
The Colorado
Avalanche captain said in the mentioned interview that he does not know how
many days or weeks he will have to stay out of Sweden. He admits the comeback
to Djurgarden is one of the options if there will be full season lockout, but
it will depend on taxes. Landeskog will decide in January.
Finally, Gabriel admits in the interview that he has
to learn to be more patient. As we know, he had a little fight after the
game and after other game he smashed some item off the ice as the result of his
frustration.
We
are working on the big recap of Landeskog´s short career in Djurgarden.
