Jiri Sekac and Brandon Prust scored third-period goals to lift the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche in preseason action at Pepsi Colisee in Quebec City.

Ryan O'Reilly gave the Avalanche a 2-1 lead 3:52 into the third period, but the Canadiens tallied twice late to pick up the victory. Erik Johnson scored the only first-period goal to give Colorado a 1-0 lead. Matt Duchene had an assist on each score.

Sven Andrighetto scored in the second period for Montreal, which got 28 saves from Dustin Tokarski. Forward Tim Bozon, who recovered from a serious illness, made his NHL preseason debut for the Canadiens.

Semyon Varlamov made 22 saves for Colorado in his first game of the preseason.

The Avalanche was playing the second of back-to-back contests against the Canadiens, as the teams met on Thursday at Bell Centre in Montreal, with the Habs winning 3-2 in overtime.

For the Avs, this was the franchise's second trip to Quebec City since relocating in 1995. Colorado also played a preseason contest at its former home rink in 2002.
