Invasion VII: Interview with Norbert

Eurolanche Invasion VII starts on December 26. Seven Eurolanche members from Slovakia and one from Austria will be staying in Denver for 17 days. The main schedule includes a visit of seven Colorado Avalanche games and an in-person meeting with the players. The whole schedule of the seventh Invasion will be very busy as you can see in this story. The Invasion coverage starts on the mentioned day at www.invasion.eurolanche.com.
Norbert Gruber is 31 years old and has been an Avs-fan since the franchise move from Quebec to Denver in 1995. He has lived in Vienna for more than 6 years now. Norbert works in the financial industry as a consultant for one of the big international consulting companies. It will be the fifth trip for Norbert to Denver. Within Eurolanche, he is responsible for the administration regarding the European German speaking countries.
Why did you decide to travel to Denver for fifth time?
Denver is always so much fun. Of course, the main reason is the Colorado Avalanche and the hockey games of my favourite hockey club. It's unbelievable each and every single time when you enter the Pepsi Center and you can cheer for your team. But after finding so many friends there and falling in love with the community and the city itself, it is even more than just hockey. It is just always a trip full of fun.
What are your expectations? Do not you worry it could be the same like last years?
I don't worry about Invasions being the same all the time. They are always a little bit different and each and every single year there are different experiences. However, even if it would be the same like last year, it does not matter. Why? Because last year it was also great and nobody has something against repeating great things.

What are you looking forward on most?
Definitely seeing my friends from Eurolanche and in Denver again and sharing with them my passion for the Colorado Avalanche together. Walking into the Pepsi Center together and cheering for our team.
What do you think will be different this time in comparison with last Invasions?
As it is my fifth Invasion, I have witnessed a huge improvement in the organisation year after year. So I think this year's Invasion will be even better organised with rented cars or all of us staying together in one hotel for example.
Can you describe us your preparation for the trip?
Until one day before departure, I just prepare my joy because I am really looking forward for this trip. The real preperation starts with getting along with my luggage one day before departure.
What would you like to say to fans who are thinking about their participation at further trips?
I say the same thing like I said before the other Invasions: if you are an Avs-fan, there is nothing better to experience! An experience, you will definitely never forget!
