Invasion IX: Interview with Rasto
Eurolanche Invasion IX starts in January. 10 Fan Club members from 4 countries will travel to the US. We're introducing member by member in these inteviews.Rastislav Bero, 34, is a fan of the Colorado Avalanche since 1996. He lives in Slovakia and he works in the IT sector. He is one of the first members who joined Eurolanche, as he joined the Fan Club back in 2007. He will travel to Denver for the first time.
Why did you decide to go to Colorado?
I’m a member of Eurolanche since the first year of the Fan Club’s existence and I have had the pleasure to follow all previous Invasions. I secretly hoped that one day, I might also join this adventure. Now, when my family (wife and two children) and work (my boss, whom I will personally meet on the East Coast) lives allowed it, I will gladly use the opportunity to experience the trip, visiting games of my favorite team and visiting the USA again after nearly 15 years. As an amateur hockey goalie, I’m really looking forward to seeing the world’s top goalies doing their jobs just a few meters away from me.
What are you most looking forward to?
To a brilliant group of people, whom I had the opportunity to meet at the organizational meeting in Brno. To the trip to LA and the adjacent areas and of course, to the atmosphere of NHL games. On the other hand, I‘m most certainly not looking forward to the flight, especially the taking off and landing. I’m getting a headache by just thinking about it.
What are your expectations from the trip in general?
Tons of fun and new experiences.
Have you followed previous Invasions? If so, what stood out for you the most? What would you like to experience?
I followed all previous Invasions and I'd love to live out their experiences all at once. I believe we can accomplish that.
How long have you been a member of Eurolanche and what do you think about Eurolanche?
I’ve been a member of the Fan Club for ten years and frankly, I admire the passion and organizational skills of the president, who founded this project and runs it like a well-oiled machine.
How do you like the organization and preparations for Invasion IX?
Hats off to the organizational details and widgets that accompanied previous Invasions. Based on the existing plan of Invasion IX, we obviously have something to look forward this year.
