2016 IIHF Worlds Summary: Day 4
Only four games were played during the fourth day of the 2016 IIHF World Championship, with only two Avalanche players taking the ice, namely Matt Duchene and JT Compher

Canada once again proved to be lethal on offence, scoring 8 goals, while recording their first shutout of the tournament. Calvin Pickard was left on the bench in favor of Edmonton netminder Cam Talbot. After being held pointless, Matt Duchene got back on the scoresheet with a goal and two assists. He recorded four shots on goal and finished +1. Former Avalanche player Ryan O’Reilly also got on the scoresheet, scoring two relatively lucky goals.

JT Compher once again appeared on the third US line, playing alongside Tyler Motte and Matt Hendricks. He didn’t get on the scoresheet, playing a total of 13 and a half minutes.

Anton Lindholm is still waiting for his debut at this year’s World Championship.
